  • United Construction did a great job with our roof. Their team worked until 7 or 8 every night to make sure the job was completed within the week. Afterwards, everything was cleaned up and re-organized well and they planted grass seed in the areas of the yard that got worn down. The foreman, Bobby, did a great job communicating with us throughout the process. Jay also went out of his way to explain things to us as the job progressed. Overall, they were very easy to work with and I would recommend them to others

  • Price was right as I got two other bids. We had a leaking roof, the job was being done late in the year and our weather had been cold and wet so I was concerned that they weren’t going to be able to get it done until spring. But they were able to get it in and once on the job worked day and night to finish. We had lots of issues with our existing roof but Project Manager Dave Cook addressed all of the problems and fully explained the actions he took. They did a great job!

  • United Construction and Remodeling just completed my roof and I am very satisfied with the project to date. I contacted several companies and from the first phone call to Beka through the final detailed inspection and fine tuning they treated me professionally, courteously and provided me all of the information I wanted. Beka was a pleasure to work with and Jim did a great job of quoting, estimating, explaining the process and answering my questions. Ray came through on my requested dates even though the weather was a fighting against him and all of his jobs. The crew foreman, Dave, did a great job of keeping me informed of any issues that arose or additional items that I needed and that included photos and quotes as he went. I got to meet and became friendly with many of the crew members over the three day project and they were great, hard working, guys as well! Beka came and did a final, very thorough inspection, and then Ray (Owner) came back and tweaked a few items that I requested the next day. I am extremely happy with United and their team and in addition they provide a great warranty and use high quality material that also have very good warranties and life spans. So far, so good! Thank you to Ray, Jim, Beka, Dave and the entire crew for providing me with a terrific new roof before the winter sets in!

  • Over the past few days the crew from United Construction & Remodeling has been working my my house removing and installing a new roof. The crew was extremely professional and put in long hours…they were here at the house at 7 AM and did not leave until after 6 PM. They were polite and considerate of both me and my property. My wife has many flowers planted around the home and they covered them and did very minimum damage. One thing that I thought was great was their communications…if there was a problem or something that I as a home owner should be aware of they took pictures and explained to me what was going on…every night before they left someone would always speak to me in reference to where they were and how things were going. The last day of the project it rained, but the crew showed up as soon as the rain stoped and worked until almost dark to complete the job. I would be amiss if I di not mention the office personnel and the sales people…again the communications was great and they were a pleasure to work with. If/when I have another construction/remodeling project I will call United first. Once again Thanks for a great job.

  • This was a great experience from start to finish. From the estimator, job coordinator and the too the workers everything went smoothly and professional. They showed up on time, had he materials and the disposal trailer on site ready to start when expected. The roofers that did the job understood the scope of the job right off and got to getting it done immediately. The clean up was great and they left nothing on the property for me to deal with. Great job all around, great company to do business with. Highly recommend this crew.

  • We hired United Construction & Remodeling to erect a vinyl fence on our property. The project manager, David Cook informed us of the job that was to be done and his crew (Steve and Kyle) worked efficiently together to complete the job. Steve returned the next day to take care of a few details with a followup by Dave to make sure we were satisfied. I would hire David Cook and his crew again. Dave's personality and professionalism made the experience a pleasant one.

  • They returned calls promptly. The made an appointment to see the yard within one week, and got us on the schedule within three weeks. The work took about 2 days longer than anticipated to complete due to challenges around our deck placement/construction, but they solved problems creatively and thoroughly and to our satisfaction. We had talked to other fence companies before, and gotten higher quotes, and were told we couldn't possibly put gates where we wanted them. United Construction didn't have any difficulty meeting our expectations.

  • I hired United & Construction to replace the roof on a home & garage. I compared the local large companies for price & professionalism & they won. Now that the job is done I'm not disappointed. They did all they promised & It looks great. I'm not a professional roofer, just a nerd computer engineer from Cornell.but the job looks great. The project manager Dave was a great guy. I had his phone number & he was easily reachable & updated me with pictures of the job. I really appreciated that since the building they were working on is a rental & I'm not always in town. The only thing that they could work on is communication from the company. I asked for a few estimates for other work & can not get a response for weeks, so I had to call other companies. But for roofing I definitely recommend.

  • The crew arrived and started the work at the time agreed. When the old roofing was almost removed, the foreman of the crew, Dave Cook, approached me to show the condition of the old roof base. I knew that we may have to address that after years of small leaks that had occurred. Dave told me what my options were and how they would affect the long term results and we decided to lay down a new decking over the existing one. I was promptly quoted a price and put in touch with Becca at the office to authorize the Change Order. I had to leave for work after that feeling the I was in good hands. When I came home from work the new decking was almost completely installed and the base layer was soon to follow. I saw how careful the base layer was rolled out to eliminate any creases. It was getting late and the forecast was for rain to come in later that night. Dave told me that they would stay until either finished or at least the roof would be flashed and water tight. When it got dark, we found some headlights for the guys to were so that they could see well enough. The roof was made water tight with one bit of roofing to be adhered. There was not enough flashing in the trailer to finish without a seam and Dave wanted to finish it with a single piece. I agreed. The weather turned to rain and clod for the next week and was not able to finish until the following wee. During that time either Dave or Becca would contact me every day to let me know what the plans were so that I was not in the dark. I really appreciated that. Overall my wife and I are very please with the professionalism, quality of work, cleanup, and communication. We will definitely use them again and recommend the to anyone.

  • United Construction & Remodeling is a top notch company that does outstanding work. I can’t imagine that there is a better company in the area. I recommend them very highly. So you can consider the recommendation in context, I’ll provide more details. I called United after I'd already received a number of estimates on a job involving replacing a flat roof, fixing extensive damage done to the room below & repairing and/or replacing wall board in a different part of the house. In contrast to every other company I’d talked with, they provided straight foward information about exactly what they would do and how much it would cost. In contrast to the other companies, they didn’t suggest the entire house needed replacing or they couldn’t stand by their work (ok, that’s an exaggeration but you get the idea). Then they proceeded to do exactly what they said they would in the promised time frame. Than they charged exactly what they said they would. The project manager, David Cooke, explained exactly what they would do, and how they’d do it, and that’s exactly what they did. At a walk through after the work was completed he detailed what had been done in language I could understand. All the work looked terrific. They appear to be excellent craftsmen-the finished work looked great-no short cuts taken. Every staff person I talked with was very professional during every interaction. I was very impressed with the entire company. The professionalism was apparent from the initial contact to completion of the job. If you have lived in the Southern Tier for very long you know how difficult it is to find competent professions. Well they are that at United Construction & Remodeling. Their pricing was very reasonable, less than many of the other companies I'd contacted. Overall, I could not have been more pleased. I am so grateful to have found this company because I have other work that needs to be done. I've had nightmare experiences with construction companies in the past. What a difference it makes to find one as professional and competent as United Construction & Remodeling!

  • Had a remodel of laundry room. Excellent job. They were able to troubleshoot and fix an issue that arose unexpectedly. In addition, they fixed a balcony deck and the inside ceiling making changes on the fly. Will use again

  • United construction replaced our roof. Prior to replacing the roof, we were concerned about ventilation issues and a section of the roof which has very little pitch. We were happy with United construction's knowledge and their solutions to resolving these problem areas as they installed the new roof. We were very happy with their efforts to keep the area clean of debris and nails. They used tarps to protect the sides of the house and bushes and swept up before leaving at the end of every day. They also swept up in front of the garage several times a day. The crew was very professional. Both the crew and the office staff were very helpful in answering any questions that we had.

  • I had a small roof leak and was not sure if I should fix it or replace the roof being 25+years old. Rather than looking for the bigger job, Jim was honest and said I could get by with 3-4 more years. I chose to replace the roof and it is one of my better decisions. The crew of Timo and Ruben were superb-it would be difficult find harder workers. Everything was thoroughly explained and priced with no hidden "extras". Upon completion, you would not know the crew was there; clean and neat as they found things. David C. was detailed and professional in his completion check list. I could not have dreamed of an easier or better experience. Oh, by the way, the roof looks fantastic. Many thanks!

  • I was so impressed with everyone I worked with from start to finish. Earlier this year we had someone come and do a patch job on our roof which was in awful condition - they didn't try to sell me a new roof, encouraged us to get by for as long as we could and were upfront about what they were doing, how much it would cost and how bad our roof really was. We finally took the plunge after some bad leaks and had Jim come out and give us an estimate, he explained everything in detail and gave us a phenomenal price. When the crew came over to do the job I was amazed - they were so efficient and quick!! David, Miguel and Teamo kept us updated every step of the way and ray delivered some not so great news like a pro. We've recommended these guys to everyone we know - they are trustworthy, fast, and do amazing quality work. You will not regret your decision to hire these guys to do a job.

  • We are so incredibly pleased with our new deck roof and front window! Scott and David explained every aspect of the building process, were efficient, so pleasant to work with and even took a few minutes to talk with my children (who loved to watch the unfolding of the entire project!). Everything was so clean when they were finished that you'd never even know they were here except for the beautiful results! All projects have passed the test of the winds and storm of Monday, May 1, 2017 with flying colors. I highly recommend this company for any exterior and interior work.
