Over the past few days the crew from United Construction & Remodeling has been working my my house removing and installing a new roof. The crew was extremely professional and put in long hours…they were here at the house at 7 AM and did not leave until after 6 PM. They were polite and considerate of both me and my property. My wife has many flowers planted around the home and they covered them and did very minimum damage. One thing that I thought was great was their communications…if there was a problem or something that I as a home owner should be aware of they took pictures and explained to me what was going on…every night before they left someone would always speak to me in reference to where they were and how things were going. The last day of the project it rained, but the crew showed up as soon as the rain stoped and worked until almost dark to complete the job. I would be amiss if I di not mention the office personnel and the sales people…again the communications was great and they were a pleasure to work with. If/when I have another construction/remodeling project I will call United first. Once again Thanks for a great job.

David Cooke and his crew did a complete roof replacement for me. Communication was good, they were on time and were able to get the job done quickly. I wouldn't hesitate to contact them for other projects around my house. I'm very happy with my new roof! Thanks guys!

This was a great experience from start to finish. From the estimator, job coordinator and the too the workers everything went smoothly and professional. They showed up on time, had he materials and the disposal trailer on site ready to start when expected. The roofers that did the job understood the scope of the job right off and got to getting it done immediately. The clean up was great and they left nothing on the property for me to deal with. Great job all around, great company to do business with. Highly recommend this crew.

We hired United Construction & Remodeling to erect a vinyl fence on our property. The project manager, David Cook informed us of the job that was to be done and his crew (Steve and Kyle) worked efficiently together to complete the job. Steve returned the next day to take care of a few details with a followup by Dave to make sure we were satisfied. I would hire David Cook and his crew again. Dave's personality and professionalism made the experience a pleasant one.

They returned calls promptly. The made an appointment to see the yard within one week, and got us on the schedule within three weeks. The work took about 2 days longer than anticipated to complete due to challenges around our deck placement/construction, but they solved problems creatively and thoroughly and to our satisfaction. We had talked to other fence companies before, and gotten higher quotes, and were told we couldn't possibly put gates where we wanted them. United Construction didn't have any difficulty meeting our expectations.

I hired United & Construction to replace the roof on a home & garage. I compared the local large companies for price & professionalism & they won. Now that the job is done I'm not disappointed. They did all they promised & It looks great. I'm not a professional roofer, just a nerd computer engineer from Cornell.but the job looks great. The project manager Dave was a great guy. I had his phone number & he was easily reachable & updated me with pictures of the job. I really appreciated that since the building they were working on is a rental & I'm not always in town. The only thing that they could work on is communication from the company. I asked for a few estimates for other work & can not get a response for weeks, so I had to call other companies. But for roofing I definitely recommend.

The crew arrived and started the work at the time agreed. When the old roofing was almost removed, the foreman of the crew, Dave Cook, approached me to show the condition of the old roof base. I knew that we may have to address that after years of small leaks that had occurred. Dave told me what my options were and how they would affect the long term results and we decided to lay down a new decking over the existing one. I was promptly quoted a price and put in touch with Becca at the office to authorize the Change Order. I had to leave for work after that feeling the I was in good hands. When I came home from work the new decking was almost completely installed and the base layer was soon to follow. I saw how careful the base layer was rolled out to eliminate any creases. It was getting late and the forecast was for rain to come in later that night. Dave told me that they would stay until either finished or at least the roof would be flashed and water tight. When it got dark, we found some headlights for the guys to were so that they could see well enough. The roof was made water tight with one bit of roofing to be adhered. There was not enough flashing in the trailer to finish without a seam and Dave wanted to finish it with a single piece. I agreed. The weather turned to rain and clod for the next week and was not able to finish until the following wee. During that time either Dave or Becca would contact me every day to let me know what the plans were so that I was not in the dark. I really appreciated that. Overall my wife and I are very please with the professionalism, quality of work, cleanup, and communication. We will definitely use them again and recommend the to anyone.

United Construction & Remodeling is a top notch company that does outstanding work. I can’t imagine that there is a better company in the area. I recommend them very highly. So you can consider the recommendation in context, I’ll provide more details. I called United after I'd already received a number of estimates on a job involving replacing a flat roof, fixing extensive damage done to the room below & repairing and/or replacing wall board in a different part of the house. In contrast to every other company I’d talked with, they provided straight foward information about exactly what they would do and how much it would cost. In contrast to the other companies, they didn’t suggest the entire house needed replacing or they couldn’t stand by their work (ok, that’s an exaggeration but you get the idea). Then they proceeded to do exactly what they said they would in the promised time frame. Than they charged exactly what they said they would. The project manager, David Cooke, explained exactly what they would do, and how they’d do it, and that’s exactly what they did. At a walk through after the work was completed he detailed what had been done in language I could understand. All the work looked terrific. They appear to be excellent craftsmen-the finished work looked great-no short cuts taken. Every staff person I talked with was very professional during every interaction. I was very impressed with the entire company. The professionalism was apparent from the initial contact to completion of the job. If you have lived in the Southern Tier for very long you know how difficult it is to find competent professions. Well they are that at United Construction & Remodeling. Their pricing was very reasonable, less than many of the other companies I'd contacted. Overall, I could not have been more pleased. I am so grateful to have found this company because I have other work that needs to be done. I've had nightmare experiences with construction companies in the past. What a difference it makes to find one as professional and competent as United Construction & Remodeling!

Project Manager David Cooke and his crew came to replace an old support header with new LVL and leveled out our floor upstairs. They did a fantastic job. Daved Cooke, Project Mgr. & Jim's Electrician assisted and installed electrical home upgrade outlets and safety security exterior lighting today - Apr 6, 2018 with professional and outstanding finishes. Well Done to all from office to completion!

Had a remodel of laundry room. Excellent job. They were able to troubleshoot and fix an issue that arose unexpectedly. In addition, they fixed a balcony deck and the inside ceiling making changes on the fly. Will use again

We had a full tear off and replacement, everything was done in a quick and efficient manner with little to no impact on our day to day activities. Dave and his crew were very polite and made sure we understood everything involved in the job.

United construction replaced our roof. Prior to replacing the roof, we were concerned about ventilation issues and a section of the roof which has very little pitch. We were happy with United construction's knowledge and their solutions to resolving these problem areas as they installed the new roof. We were very happy with their efforts to keep the area clean of debris and nails. They used tarps to protect the sides of the house and bushes and swept up before leaving at the end of every day. They also swept up in front of the garage several times a day. The crew was very professional. Both the crew and the office staff were very helpful in answering any questions that we had.

Had gutters installed and some roof flashing replaced. Guy, Troy, Kenneth, and David all did an excellent job. I even got to meet Ray, who explained some troubles they were able to overcome. Excellent work!

My experience working with United Construction was very positive: Professional staff - Dave S., Proj. Mgr., Ray, Brian, and Becca. They were responsive and provided excellent follow-up in reviewing the completed fence installation. The installation itself was very well done; materials used are of high quality, the clean-up by the installation team was excellent.

So we have had numerous contractors in the past, for this nightmare of a house. So far it has been difficult to find a 1) reliable scheduled work time, and 2) an update to both positive and of course negative progress. You have all of that with this team. I had a small roof leak and was not sure if I should fix it or replace the roof being 25+years old. Rather than looking for the bigger job, Jim was honest and said I could get by with 3-4 more years. I chose to replace the roof and it is one of my better decisions. The crew of Timo and Ruben were superb-it would be difficult find harder workers. Everything was thoroughly explained and priced with no hidden "extras". Upon completion, you would not know the crew was there; clean and neat as they found things. I was so impressed with everyone I worked with from start to finish. Earlier this year we had someone come and do a patch job on our roof which was in awful condition - they didn't try to sell me a new roof, encouraged us to get by for as long as we could and were upfront about what they were doing, how much it would cost and how bad our roof really was. We finally took the plunge after some bad leaks and had Jim come out and give us an estimate, he explained everything in detail and gave us a phenomenal price. When the crew came over to do the job I was amazed - they were so efficient and quick!! David, Miguel and Teamo kept us updated every step of the way and ray delivered some not so great news like a pro. We've recommended these guys to everyone we know - they are trustworthy, fast, and do amazing quality work. You will not regret your decision to hire these guys to do a job.

Caleb did a great job at my house repairing damaged soffit in a high and tight space. He was courteous and knew what had to be done.

From the initial quote being spot on with very few change orders (to be expected with 3 layers of shingles) to new gutters, Dave Jim and crew kept me updated throughout the project, were very professional, punctual and clean. We are so incredibly pleased with our new deck roof and front window! Scott and David explained every aspect of the building process, were efficient, so pleasant to work with and even took a few minutes to talk with my children (who loved to watch the unfolding of the entire project!). I had a chain linked fence in the backyard but always wanted a wooden fence so I contacted them through Home Advisor. I found the quote to be very reasonable and the work started almost immediately. Dave, Kyle and Steve were very hard workers and very friendly and Dave always kept me up to date on what was being done and answered all the questions I had. On the last day Ray stayed until 8:30 pm in pouring rain and thunder and lightning to install a new handle on the door. There was a little hiccup with their supplier which was beyond their control, but it all worked out beautifully in the end. I would highly recommend United and will definitely call them again when I need further work on the house.

United Construction did a great job fixing the damage to my brick siding after my weather head was pulled from it. I'm happy with the results and recommend them.

This company just did a major repair job on my very bad-off chimney. The work was excellent and as I understand it, went far beyond, for quality and extended durability, what the last company to work on the chimney did (thank you Dave for the explaining in detail the construction techniques you used). The estimator, Jim, was extremely sharp and knowledgeable and took the time to return to answer questions and explain to me in detail that parts of the house I was concerned with were fine-this was very reassuring and appreciated. United appears to be an excellent, very professional, very thorough company which I will be using soon for other projects!

United Construction and Remodeling was hired to install 8 fence posts on our property. Foreman David Cooke and mechanic Roy Backus completed the job as requested and performed above and beyond expectations. The team worked quickly with the installation, and both were pleasant to interact with. David also provided helpful advice on some other unrelated construction and landscaping areas which was much appreciated. The team left the work site in excellent condition. I would consider contacting United Construction and Remodeling for future projects.

What more could you ask for of a construction company than to have the job done right the first time, with top notch craftsmanship, while being charged fair prices for work completed within the promised time frame. The staff were professional throughout from the initial contact through a walk through and final paperwork and bill paying. Becca, who was my first point of contact with the business was always upbeat and positive. She was excellent in terms of letting me know what the process would entail, in terms of who would contact me, etc. David Cooke, the project manager for the job was excellent in terms of keeping me informed about the progress, alerting me to any decisions that needed to be made, explaining all facets of the job in clear and understandable language and clearly delineating the costs and time frames involved with the various options. The process was painless for me; in contrast to other work I've had done by other people in Binghamton-a place that is not brimming over with a glut of terrific businesses. Nope, quite the opposite. In fact, I'd gotten estimates for the job from other companies and from independent contractors. All the others made the job sound onerous. Some tried to convince me that unless the entire roof of the house were redone, the flat roof I needed would leak. Others hemmed and hawed and ultimately never sent me an estimate. If you know the area, you probably also know that there are a lot of marginal people offering services that they know nothing about. It an be quite painful to look for someone to complete a job...any job. You'd think in an area that has lost so many jobs, it would be easy to find competent reasonably priced professionals to complete jobs; It is not. So United Construction & Remodeling stands apart from other companies and individuals offering construction services-as one of the few (only???) high quality outstanding businesses that delivers everything it promises. Naturally anyone needing work to be done is also looking for superb craftsmanship. And you'll get that too with United Construction and Remodeling. I was very impressed with the high quality of the work. It was actually both affordable and excellent. I was impressed and will call them the next time I need work done-which is today actually. So I will. You should too if you need a project completed.

Always a pleasure to work with their crew. From estimating with Kenneth to the final walkthrough with David, it is a relatively smooth process. I had gutters installed on my new home. Troy installed the gutters without even disturbing the guests I had at home. They look fantastic and I don't have to worry about when it rains. Guy did an excellent job with a tricky situation. After I noticed our attic had a leak, i contacted United Construction. They got back to me the same day and quoted my roof repair pretty quickly. The estimator knew what the problem was by looking at my chimneys. I also decided it was time to repair that leaky garage roof. Again the estimator knew exactly what needed to be done. I am very happy with the job they did. They went above and beyond what I was expecting!

This company was extremely professional and I felt they really cared about the job they did. They were very neat: we were out of town when they did the job and there was nothing around the house that would indicate they had been there. They showed us pictures of the job as it's fairly hard get to a place where we can see it and explained that they had run into rotted plywood beneath the roof they were replacing so the price went up by a small amount. Very good service. They came out within two days of my contacting them regarding a roof leak. The person who came out quickly spotted the problem and explained it clearly to us. He then wrote up the contract and went over it with us. He also arranged to have the roof tarpped the next day so we would not have any problems until the materials could be ordered and the job done. Dave C., Brian, Caled and David W. did a very professional job on installation and clean up all debris. I would recommend this company.

This company was right on time, did all the work requested, discussed the best plan for fixing unexpected repairs and were very considerate. I would highly recommend this company to everyone, and will gladly use them when more work is needed on the house. Very professional.

I solicited 7 different estimates to have my roof replaced and ultimately decided to go with United. United was very professional from my initial contact with them. I requested the appointment for the estimate thru homeadvisor.com and was called to schedule an appointment the same day. Other contractors took weeks to call me back and some didn't call back at all, and some of the estimates of the roof size seemed to be significantly high (like over 500 square feet off). Jim did a very good job of explaining options in terms of shingle colors, etc. and the differences between a lay over and a tear off. I decided on a doing a tear off and the price was competitive with other estimates (not the lowest, but less than a $500 difference from the lowest). The job was completed in three days and David C, Brian, Caleb, Brad, and Dave did a fantastic job. The roof looks great and my yard was left exactly the way it was before the job. I would definitely recommend United.

Called for gutter cleaning, the rep walked me through the options, recommending a partial replacement. Work was done sooner than expected due to a previous job wrapping up early. Very clean and fast. Staff is professional and polite. Would use them again in a minute.

This is the 4th contract we have had with United Construction & Remodeling working on our home. This time it was a continuation of replacing windows. Ray Williams, office staff and his crew are always considerate. They skilled workers that do a great job and communicate well. If there is a problem of any type they are easy to work with. They clean up very well after themselves. The rates are always very reasonable. Thank you so much. We look forward to another contract for more work next year.

United construction rebuilt my driveway from a dirt path into a concrete driveway. Also built a new garage in my backyard, and a fence along my property line. The work is phenomenal. I'd recommend them to anyone looking for home improvement jobs. I've even had some of my neighbors comment on how good it all looks.

The guys who came to repair my roof, have done an excellent professional job. They were very polite and respectful people. They even told me to call them if any little drop of persistent water from the roof.

Had my garage roof redone. Torn off the 2-3 layers on that roof and shingled. Roof looks great. Everything was explained in detail. The clean up was fantastic. Excellent job on roof, complete tear off of 2 layers. They inspected and repaired all damaged plywood. installed ice and water barrier. New roof looks great ! I watched United Construction complete a house project on the property behind my house. They used quality materials, did great work and did a great job on cleanup. It was a no brainer when I needed my roof done. They had a great crew that took great care to protect flower beds in front of our house and took pride in all they did. The materials used were high quality. I would highly recommend them to any one who needs work done on their house.

This is the 2nd project we've had completed by United Construction - they built our fence last year and we were happy with the results, so we hired them again to replace 21 windows in the house. I am blown away with the results. The windows look absolutely incredible, inside and out! The entire process from start to finish was top quality. From the initial quote with Jim, to the finished product, everything went perfectly. I met with Jim for the initial quote, and he came back a few days later with an exact cost. A day after that, another member came to do exact measurements on every single window to ensure they ordered the correct sizes. I was in contact with the Project Manager throughout the next few weeks, who kept me updated on the order status and installation dates. When the windows arrived, they delivered them to my home and began the install the next day. The workers completed 21 windows in 2 days, and on the 3rd day re-wrapped the exterior of each window. As stated, the results are incredible. Both installers were extremely friendly, courteous, professional, and they did an amazing job cleaning up after each day. I can't recommend this company enough - you must consider them for your next home renovation project.

I hired United Construction & Remodeling to repair (caulk) the roof around where it was leaking. I also had them install new chimney caps and repair my concrete patio - which was a pretty big job. They did a nice job at a fair price and were true to their word - even on points I didn't get in writing. They did what they verbally promised to do! They also stopped back after the job was finished (and paid for) to do some "fine tuning" at no extra cost to me. I am very impressed with these guys and will use them again in the spring. I have already recommended them to a friend of a friend.

After getting several quotes I decided to hire Ray with U.C.R. I could not have been happier! The roof looks great , I have not had any problems or issue's. They made me feel involved and informed about the whole project. There was several pieces of plywood that needed to be replaced, they made sure they took plenty of pictures and even saved the plywood to show me just to make sure I had a understanding of the whole project start to finish. I must say I was most impressed with the clean up. Everything was picked up every day and the grounds looked spotless. They even spent hours combing the ground for nails with there magnets. I was so happy I even gave them a nice bonus.

In September 2014 we had a 6x14 inclosed porch removed from the side of our house. Ray and his team replace the inclosed porch with a 6x24 deck leaving the roof in place. We also had the door leading to the porch from the kitchen removed and replaced with a sliding glass door. Along with having the extensive work to the porch/deck Ray removed our front entry door with 2 side lights and replaced the door with 1 side light. Ray and his crew were very knowledgeable in all aspects of the project and the attention to detail was outstanding. Ray was very patient while finding the right front door and measurements took some time. Each day the crew arrived early and worked a full day. We are beyond satisfied with the entire job. It was such a pleasure working with Ray and the entire crew. We are looking forward to working with United Construction in the future.

They just completed a major bathroom overhaul for us and all of his crew were polite and competent. Any concerns we had were handled and addressed, and taken care of quickly.

Ray and his crew replaced the roof on our 100 year old barn. The roof is very steep and very large. The job was completed in a timely fashion and Ray's crew paid attention to every detail. I was referred to UCR by a friend and my wife and I were very happy with the result. Our roof had been leaking after only living in the home for 2 years. Prior to having Ray and his crew come out to look at our home we had another company come out and give us an estimate, which was very high and we felt that we were being pressured into hiring them for their services. After making several other phone calls to other companies we found out about UCR and they came right out to our house helped to secure the home from further damage prior to starting the project. We found UCR to be very affordable and definately worth the money. The crew was at our home every day by 7am and worked all day. My wife and I felt very comfortable leaving our house open with the guys at the house while we were at work and they did an excelent job with great craftsmanship.
